United Victory (UV) football club has been fined MVR 30,000 by the Civil Court for violating the Maldives Immigration Act by bringing foreign players into the country on tourist visas.
According to the court ruling, the players were initially brought to the Maldives on business visas, but their visas were not renewed upon expiration. The club failed to deport the players after their visas had expired, leading to the violation.
