Maldives Club HDC lost to Iran's Chadormalu in the third-place match of the Central Asian Volleyball Association (CAVA) Men's Volleyball Club Championship.
HDC lost to Chadormalu in three straight sets of 25-21, 27-25, and 27-25.
Earlier in the tournament, HDC defeated Nepal's Gandaki Club 3-2 in their opening match. However, they faced a 3-2 loss to Chadormalu in the second match, with scores of 25-16, 22-25, 23-25, 25-20, and 15-13.
In their third match, HDC lost to Calicut Heroes of India 3-0, with scores of 25-13, 25-23, and 25-21.
In their final match, HDC lost 3-1 to Help Nepal Sports Club. Help Nepal won the sets 25-22, 24-26, 25-19, and 25-21.
HDC played in the semi-finals after finishing fourth in the tournament. They faced Help Nepal in the semi-finals and lost in straight sets, with scores of 25-16, 25-18, and 25-21.
In the final, Calicut Heroes defeated Help Nepal 3-1, winning the championship.
