A tourist who went diving from Kaafu atoll Maafushi was attacked by a shark, and is currently in hospital receiving treatment for injuries sustained.

The victim of the attack is a 45 year old Chinese woman.
Police said that she is currently under care at the Tree Top Hospital in Hulhumale'. They cited doctors as saying that her injuries are not life-threatening.
