President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has decided to present the Grand Order of Military Honour to Major General Retired Moosa Ali Jaleel.
This award is in recognition of Jaleel's longstanding service to national security and his significant contributions towards safeguarding the sovereignty of the Maldives.
It especially celebrates his bravery and courage during the events of November 3, 1988, in the face of foreign insurgents. His actions were instrumental in the protection of the people and nation.
The Grand Order of Military Honour will be presented to Jaleel at this year's special ceremony to mark Victory Day, which is scheduled to be held at 20:30 hrs on Sunday at Dharubaaruge.
