This giveaway promotion will be conducted through monthly social media contests on Visit Maldives platforms where four lucky winners will be drawn for a free holiday in the Maldives every month.
While the campaign will showcase Maldives' diverse offerings from pristine beaches and culture to exciting diving adventures and luxury retreats, with a special focus on honeymoon, luxury, family, diving and other interesting segments for which the country has become famous for.
The MMPRC said this giveaway campaign aims to attract travel enthusiasts on social media and increase the country's popularity as a top tourist destination.
The event, which is open globally, invites people from all over the world to participate, discover and experience the various attractions Maldives has to offer for themselves and participate in promoting the country as a tourist destination throughout the year.
More than two million tourists visited Maldives at the end of last year, marking the first time in the history of tourism in the country that such a large number of tourists have visited.
On top of this historic achievement, the Maldivian government has set a target of increasing that figure by 15 percent in 2025.
