President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has left today on an official visit to Haa Alif atoll, where he will be visiting ten islands.

The ten islands he will be visiting during this three day trip are Dhihdhoo, Filladhoo, Hoarafushi, Ihavandhoo, Maarandhoo, Molhadhoo, Muraidhoo, Thakandhoo, Uligan and Utheemu.

During the visit, he will be holding meetings with island councils, women's development committees, and heads of institutions on the island, as well as residents.

The visit will also see inauguration of various development projects in the islands.

In this visit, Police stations, council offices, and cold storage facilities will be opened in some islands, while ID card and passport issuance services will also be commenced.

The President will also officially inaugurate the 'Magey Solar' project during the visit. Agreements will also be signed with Bank of Maldives and the councils to place ATMs on the islands.

A delegation of cabinet ministers and seniors of other government institutions will be accompanying the President on this trip.

This trip is also under the President's initiative to visit all the atolls of Maldives and to meet with council, which commenced last year. Earlier this month, President Muizzu travelled to Gaafu Alif, Gaafu Dhaalu and Raa atolls.
