A fire incident has occurred at a water villa in One & Only Reethi Rah Resort last night.
In a post on X at around 03:00 hrs last night, Maldives National Defence Force said that they had received reports of a fire at the resort and were responding.
MNDF said that the fire originated in the thatched roof of the villa, which resort staff had controlled and put out.
While it is unclear if there were guests staying in the villa at the time, MNDF confirmed that no persons had been injured in the incident.
They said that what caused the fire is also not known as of yet.
