President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has requested not to do things outside of Islamic boundaries, with him also requesting those in the film and entertainment industry to become individuals who set examples in line with Islamic culture for the growing generation.

President Muizzu made this request earlier today on X, after an issue regarding how a man who had dressed outside the bounds of Islam and Maldivian culture went to the red carpet event for the movie "Lily" being shown at Olympus last night, with this incident spreading on social media.

While the President did not speak of the issue directly, he stated that the most valuable service we can provide for the country is to become those who set honest examples in line with Islamic culture for the growing generation, and to not conduct ourselves outside of Islamic principles.

As per President Muizzu, as Maldives is a 100 percent Muslim nation, keeping one's actions within the framework of Islam is something every Maldivian citizen should do happily. He also said that we have to distance ourselves from things outside of Islamic culture.

"I am also requesting those who are in the film and entertainment industry to conduct themselves within Islamic boundaries. The most valuable service we can provide for the country is to become those who set honest examples in line with Islamic culture for the growing generation," said President Muizzu on X.
