2 of Us receives chance to audition for Britain's Got Talent

Maldives' band '2 of Us' has received the opportunity to audition for the 19th season of one of UK's most major reality shows, Britain's Got Talent.

In a statement released by the band, they said that they have made it through the online auditions for the show and are now preparing for the next round.

For this second round, the band has to travel to London to audition in person. The band has now received the official invitation for this from the show.

The second round of the auditions is scheduled to be held on September 6.

2 of Us participated in Indian reality show 'Battle of Bands International' earlier this year, and was awarded third place.

The platform also served to add to the popularity of the band.

Following their fame from Battle of Bands, the band performed two shows at Olympus Theatre, with tickets for both quickly sold out.

They have since performed at multiple locations across the country.

Members of the band are Ahmed Adhham, Mohamed Nasooh Bin Nasrudeen, Abdulla Shamrooh, Ahmed Jasheem and renowned guitarist Ahmed Shaheed (Shaheed Legacy).
