Woman arrested in Kulhudhuhfushi for stealing foreigner's wallet

A woman has been arrested from Haa Dhaalu atoll Kulhudhuhfushi for stealing a wallet from a foreigner.

Yesterday, a video circulated on social media showing a foreigner holding onto a woman's shirt even as she tried to get away by getting on a motorcycle.

In relation to this, Police revealed that they had received reports yesterday afternoon that a Maldivian woman had stolen the wallet of a Bangladeshi male in the island.

Police said the woman has since been placed under arrest, adding that the case is being investigated.
