Louis was accompanied by his wife and daughter, marking their 11th visit to the island destination.
The Spanish family, over their travels to the country, have developed a love for Maldives, its beaches and people.
The airport thanked the family, who say Maldives is like a family to them, for making Maldives their second home.
Maldives' natural beauty and good people attract a large number of tourists to the country continuously.
A large number of tourists are coming to the country this year to celebrate the New Year, causing significant congestion at Velana International Airport.
More than two million tourists visited Maldives at the end of last year. This is the first time in the history of tourism in Maldives that such a large number of tourists visited the tropical country.
On top of this historic success, the government has set a target of increasing this number by 15 percent this year.
