STO has announced that the rice and flour staples gifted to the citizens by the State will be distributed from the STO staples warehouse starting Thursday until the end of Ramadan.
State Trading Organization (STO) has declared that the provisions of rice and flour by the State will now be distributed through the STO staples warehouse.
The company stated that the 10 kilograms of Basmati rice and 10 kilograms of flour (from the Male' region) that the government is issuing to each household on occasion of Ramadan will be dispersed from the STO staples warehouse starting tomorrow until the end of the last ten days of Ramadan for those who have not yet claimed their provisions.
These provisions are presented solely to Maldivians. They are handed over after noting down the name and identity card number of the individual present to claim the provision following reviewal of the number on domestic electricity meters.
The free rice and flour provided by the State is distributed daily from 10:00 hrs in the morning to 13:00 hrs in the afternoon except Fridays.
