President Muizzu announced plans to build outdoor gyms and children’s parks on all inhabited islands by the end of next year. These initiatives aim to promote physical and mental well-being while strengthening family bonds, he said.
President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has said that special attention will be given to development projects that promote a healthy lifestyle.
He made these remarks during during the second episode of "Rayyithunnaa Eku" [With Citizens], a podcast series hosted by the President's Office designed to engage with the public, address concerns, and provide direct responses.
Addressing public concerns, particularly from senior citizens, President Muizzu acknowledged complaints regarding development projects such as land reclamation, which had altered natural beaches and coastlines.
He said that ongoing projects would include dedicated areas for beachgoers.

The President also shared plans to develop parks in every inhabited island and redevelop dilapidated parks in Male' City. He highlighted Sultan Park’s redevelopment, which would focus on adventure activities and improved mobility for those visiting parks.
