Two accidents have occurred in Hulhumale' 2, one near Hiyaa flats and one near Aahiya Residence today leaving one of the injured victims in serious condition. Police are further investigating the matter.
Two accidents occurred in Hulhumale' Phase 2 this morning, leaving one person in serious condition.
Police said that they received reports of a car and a motorcycle colliding, causing the motorcycle to lose control and collide with another car near the fifth tower of Hiyaa flats in Hulhumale' 2 at 08:13 hrs today.
A 19-year-old male was injured in this accident.
The motorcyclist involved is currently undergoing treatment at Hulhumale' Hospital, and his condition is serious.
"The hospital informed police that the victim is in serious condition. Neither of the motorcycle drivers involved in both accidents had a driver's license," police said.
Details on the injuries sustained by the victims have not yet been disclosed.
Police said that the second accident occurred when two motorcycles collided near Aahiya Residence, also located in Hulhumale' 2. Both drivers of the motorcycles were injured and are receiving treatment at Hulhumale' Hospital.
One of the motorcyclists involved is a 21-year-old male who also did not have a driver's license. The 33-year-old male injured in the incident possessed a valid license.
Police have initiated investigations into both cases.
