Jetty no. 4 to be renovated

Male' City Council is seeking a party to renovate Jetty no. 4 in Male', which is used for official purposes.

In an announcement, the City Council said that they are seeking persons to renovate Jetty no. 4, on the northern side of Male' with their own equipment. Bidding has now been opened for the project.

The jetty, located in front of the President's Office is in need of renovation due to the jetty having cracks in its surface, the wood used becoming aged, and the supporting metal becoming rusted.

The announcement said that in granting the project, precedence will be given to applicants who offer to conduct the work at the lowest cost, and the shortest timeframe.

The council said that pricing for the project can be submitted on November 4 at the council office.

Only Maldivian companies, partnerships, local investment and business permit holders can send in applications, they said.

Jetty no. 4 is dedicated for use by State and government vessels. Moored near the jetty are the presidential boat and some MNDF vessels.
