Woman accused of taking drugs to a prisoner released

A Maldivian woman accused of taking drugs to a prisoner has been released from custody yesterday.

The 50 year old was arrested by Police on accusation of using and selling drugs.

When taken to court for her remand hearing, she was released without condition.

The remand order issued by the Criminal Court said that although she is accused of taking drugs to a prisoner, Police have not submitted any evidence supporting this.
