President Solih's daily door-to-door campaign in Malé City

The Maldivian Democratic Party (MDP) candidate, Ibrahim Mohamed Solih, is actively conducting a daily door-to-door campaign throughout Malé City to garner support for the second round of presidential elections set to take place on September 30, 2023.

President Solih, secured his spot in the second round with 86,161 votes in the first presidential election held on September 9.

A senior official from the president's campaign team said, "The president will continue his door-to-door visits in Malé City unless unforeseen circumstances arise."

Accompanying him on these rounds were MDP Malé Coordinator and Defence Minister Mariya Ahmed Didi, several ministers, senior officials from Maldives Democratic Alliance (MDA), and representatives from the Adhaalath Party.

President Solih and First Lady Fazna Ahmed have both been actively engaged in these door-to-door campaigns during the second round of the elections. While the First Lady recently visited residences in Villimalé, she also made rounds in Hiyaa flats located in Hulhumalé 2.

Progressive Party of Maldives (PPM) and People's National Congress (PNC) candidate Dr. Mohamed Muizzu advanced to the second round of the presidential election as the leading candidate, securing 101,635 votes.
