Maldives signs audit deal with Saudi Arabia

Auditor General's Office, on Tuesday, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the General Auditing Bureau of Saudi Arabia.

Auditor General's Office, on Tuesday, signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the General Auditing Bureau of Saudi Arabia.

Auditor General Hassan Ziyath signed the agreement on behalf of Maldives while the president of the General Auditing Bureau Dr Hussam Alangaree.

AG Ziyath stated that the MOU would facilitate collaboration and exchange of expertise between the auditing institutions of both countries.

Additionally, AG Ziyath noted that Maldives and Saudi Arabia could aid each other while conducting financial and performance audits.

The Attorney General highlighted the assistance Maldives would receive in training employees.

Dr Alangaree stated that the MOU was an opportunity for both countries to attain progress in the auditing sector and strengthen bilateral ties.
