President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has appointed 26 Deputy Ministers.
The website of the President's Office provides details about some of the Deputy Ministers who have been appointed, with eight women included in the list.
Additional appointments for Deputy Ministers in various ministries have also been made, but only a few of these names have been made public so far.
A Deputy Minister receives a monthly salary of MVR 35,500, which includes a basic salary of MVR 20,500 and an allowance of MVR 15,000.
Following the formation of the new government on November 17, there is a total of 49 state ministers.
A State Minister's monthly remuneration is set at MVR 47,000 per month, which includes a basic salary of MVR 32,000 and MVR 15,000 as allowance.
