President Dr Mohamed Muizzu inaugurated the service during his visit to Meedhoo in his ongoing visit to Dhaalu atoll.
At the ceremony, BML CEO and Managing Director Mohamed Shareef said that the commencement of ATM services would shorten the time customers have to spend on seeking services, providing added convenience.
"With this ATM, Meedhoo residents can now fulfil their daily banking needs instantly. This will save residents' valuable time and resources," he said.
The ATM offers cash withdrawals, deposits, money transfers, and accepts payments for cards and loans. With this ATM, BML customers on the island now have access to banking services around the clock.
Bank of Maldives currently provides service in 20 atolls with 39 branches, 95 self service banking centres, 153 ATMs, agent banking and online banking services.
