According to the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka, all fully vaccinated travelers arriving in the country from overseas will no longer be required to undergo PCR or Rapid Antigen Tests before departure from their destinations, effective from 1st March onwards.

The authority further confirms that tourists or travelers will be considered fully vaccinated if they have been administered two vaccine doses after which 14 days have elapsed.

Moreover, children below the age of 18 will be considered fully vaccinated even if they have been administered one dose of the vaccine.

The easements also ensure that travelers who contracted Covid-19 between a period of seven days to six months before embarkment, who in addition to this have been administered with one dose of vaccination, will still be able to enter Lanka without further testing.

However, travelers with the aforementioned condition must provide documentary proof of it upon arrival. Meanwhile, travelers who contracted Covid-19 six months prior must present negative PCR test results upon arrival.

Although Sri Lankan authorities have revised their guidelines for fully vaccinated travelers, non-vaccinated individuals or individuals with one vaccine dose must present a negative PCR test result that has not aged 72 hours.

In addition to this, non-vaccinated tourists or foreign nationals must undergo day-1 PCR testing at a quarantine hotel, or a safe and secure certified level 1 hotel and undergo a 14-day quarantine period.
