National Boating Association of Maldives (NBAM) on Tuesday began facilitating PCR tests for guests on liveaboards.
According to NBAM, the organization will arrange for samples to be collected from select islands in Kaafu Atoll, Alif Dhaalu Atoll and Alif Alif Atoll for a fee of USD 100 per test.
However, tourists within the Greater Male' Region can collect their samples from the Hulhumale' lagoon and their dedicated quarantine rooms for a fee of USD 75.

Liveaboards guests outside the central region can give out their samples from Thulusdhoo, Himmafushi, Dhiffushi, Gulhi, Guraidhoo and Maafushi in Kaafu Atoll, as well as Dhangethi in Alif Dhaalu Atoll, and Dhigurah and Ukulhas in Alif Alif Atoll.
While NBAM guarantees test results within 24 hours across the aforementioned atolls, those that collect their samples from the Greater Male' Region can receive their test results within 14 hours.
