The spread of the coronavirus appears to be largely controlled in Maldives, especially in the capital Male’ where nearly one-third of the nation’s entire population lives. However, the number of islands under monitoring have been increasing.

Maldives aims to vaccinate 90 percent of it’s entire population before August ends. So far over 84 percent of the population has been fully vaccinated.
