Maldives International Arbitration Centre (MIAC), on Monday, announced the commencement of its arbitration services.
According to MIAC, individuals who want to lodge cases at the centre can do so via MIAC’s official website.
Moreover, the centre stated that it also provides an opportunity for arbitral proceedings to be conducted online via integrated virtual services.
Attorney General Ibrahim Riffath stated that the culture of settling every case in court will end when an affordable solution is found for settle financial and civil disputes with the help of experienced arbiters.
Since its inauguration in April 2019, MIAC has established a register of renowned and experienced arbitrators, introduced a portal for automated case management and publicised the MIAC Arbitration Rules.
