Streets of Male' flooded in torrential downpour, inclement weather predicted for next three days

Male' has been experiencing heavy rains since early this morning, leading to the streets becoming flooded.

Some of the most flooded areas include heavy traffic streets such as the main road Majeedhee Magu and Ameenee Magu.

Nearly all streets, including smaller lanes, are facing flooding.

A MET Office official said that similar rainy weather conditions are expected across the country for the coming three days as well.

At present, there is a Yellow Alert issued from Baa atoll to Vaavu atoll. In the area, wind speeds are at 45 miles per hour and rough seas are predicted.
