The presidential candidate of the Maldives National Party (MNP) and Dhangethi MP Mohamed Nazim has expressed the belief that with proper planning, "Bodu Thiladhummathi"- the three northernmost atolls in the Maldives, can become a thriving developmental hub.
Nazim, as part of his campaign for the upcoming presidential elections, is currently visiting the northern atolls. The party’s plans to develop Thiladhummathi were presented during the rally held in Haa Dhaal atoll Kulhudhuffushi on Friday night.
Nazim said that Bodu Thiladhummathi is important both for the Maldives as well as the whole of South Asia. He emphasized the crucial role of the region in the country’s independence and economic well-being, asserting that this was the only region that can be seen as the development hub of the Maldives.
According to Nazim, selecting Bodu Thiladhummathi as the initial destination for his presidential campaign was a wise decision. He highlighted that the party had incorporated significant projects for the region in their development plan, which was based on a clear vision for its growth and progress.

During the rally in Kulhudhuffushi, MNP elaborated on their development plan, highlighting how they have segmented the atolls and their plans for each island. They specifically discussed their strategic plans for Boduthiladhummathi, which encompasses Haa Alif, Haa Dhaalhu, and Shaviyani atolls.
