The opportunity to invest and implement projects in Gaafu Dhaalu atoll’s uninhabited island, Gan, has been opened.
Managed by the Gadhdhoo Council, the island is included under the Gadhdhoo land use plan.
The announcement invites both Maldivian and international companies to submit Letters of Expression (LOEs) for projects in various fields.
Shortlisted companies will then be given the opportunity to submit bids based on their proposals.
Potential project areas include tourism-related initiatives, agricultural and fisheries-related initiatives, production and manufacturing, as well as research-based initiatives.
Interested parties must submit their LOIs before April 30.
Gan, located just five minutes from Gadhdhoo, is currently used by islanders for agricultural purposes.
