The foundation for the Police Station was laid by Minister of Homeland Security and Technology Ali Ihusan, who is part of the delegation accompanying President Dr Mohamed Muizzu on the ongoing official visit to Haa Alif atoll.
The foundation for the new Council Office was laid by Minister of Cities, Local Government and Public Works Adam Shareef Umar.
President Muizzu met with the Muraidhoo Council and Women's Development Committee today, where discussions were held around their concerns and requests.
Also during the visit, a new Bank of Maldives ATM on the island was also handed over to the council.
President Muizzu will be visiting ten islands in Haa Alif atoll during this three day trip. In addition to Muraidhoo, these include Dhihdhoo, Filladhoo, Hoarafushi, Ihavandhoo, Maarandhoo, Molhadhoo, Thakandhoo, Uligan and Utheemu.
