Ooredoo Maldives has decided to sell the shares of Techfin Maldives Private Limited, a subsidiary company established to provide M-Faisaa services, to OFT International and transfer ownership.
Ooredoo Maldives held an extraordinary general meeting (EGM) where shareholders approved the transfer of 100 percent of Techfin Maldives' shares. OFT, to which Techfin Maldives' shares were transferred, is a company operating under the Ooredoo Group.
Ooredoo stated that OFT is a company with extensive experience and resources in financial technology, making this the most beneficial approach for subsidiary companies established by Ooredoo Group to provide Techfin services.
Techfin Maldives Private Limited, a subsidiary of Ooredoo Maldives, received a Payment Service Provider (PSP) license from Maldives Monetary Authority (MMA) last September.
