The low-level circulation formed to the east of Maldives expected to move westwards causing scattered showers across the country, with possibility of heavy spells and thunderstorms, mostly over the northern and central atolls, on March 11 and 12.
The Maldives Meteorological Service (MET Office) has advised the public to remain cautious as heavy rain is expected in the northern and central regions today and tomorrow.

MET issued a White Alert for areas between Haa Alifu atoll and Alifu Alifu atoll, warning of heavy rain and thunderstorms with gusts of up to 40 mph until 11:30 am today.
Last week, MET Office issued an Orange Warning for several parts of the country, with heavy rains causing significant flooding on some islands.
MET has advised to take necessary precautions during times of bad weather conditions.
