Maldivian adds 98 flights for holiday season

Maldivian has added 98 flights during the school holidays and New Year holiday period.

A Maldivian official told Mihaaru that from December 18 till now, 98 additional flights have been operated, especially for the holidays.

Flights have been increased to both domestic and international destinations.

The airline introduced a special offer yesterday for those travelling from Male' to Trivandrum. The offer lasts until January 8, and provides one-way tickets at USD 184 for Maldivians and USD 260 for foreigners.

Maldivian is now preparing to bring in their first wide-body craft and commence flights next month. With the acquisition of this new plane, the airline will offer flights to new destinations next year, such as China and Europe.
