Foreign Minister Moosa Zameer will be traveling to Saudi Arabia tonight to attend the extraordinary OIC meeting.
Foreign Minister Moosa Zameer will be departing to Saudi Arabia tonight, to attend an Organisation for Islamic Corporation (OIC) meeting being held in Jeddah to discuss the volatile situation of the Middle East and the Palestinian genocide.
According to the Foreign Ministry, this is an extraordinary meeting called by Iran where member states will be addressing Israel's illegal occupation of Palestinian land as well as the attacks on Iran by Israel.
Minister Zameer is scheduled to speak at the meeting, touching on Israel's continuous genocide and ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people, as well as the assassination of Ismail Haniyeh, Chief of Palestinian resistance group Hamas’ Political Bureau.
This meeting comes following a warning issued by Iran and Lebanon's Hezbollah to retaliate against Israel for assassinating Haniyeh.
While this has intensified the tension within the Middle East, America has also strengthened its military operations in the area, with Israel saying it is prepared for war.
