Ooredoo Maldives, on Wednesday, demonstrated 'Evee', an artificial intelligence powered Digital Care Assistant, at Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Barcelona, Spain.

'Evee' is intended to transform customer interactions through Bots on channels such as Facebook, Messenger, Twitter, Viber, Telegram and WhatsApp in addition to traditional channels such as voice and SMS.

Bot led interactions will also be available to customers through Alexa and Google Assistant for voice channels via smart home devices.

The repetitive nature of call centres facilitates AI and machine learning enabled predictions.

By utilising 'Evee', Ooredoo could potentially automate all customer experiences such as promotions, inquiries and fulfilment, thereby ensuring faster, more effective services.

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ooredoo Maldives Najib Khan stated that the company was investing heavily in artificial intelligence and machine learning powered solutions in order to fulfil the evolving needs of customers.

"MWC Barcelona brings together thought-leaders from the technology industry, and we are honoured to represent the Maldives and showcase our home-grown digital innovations on this powerful platform.” stated the Ooredoo CEO.

MWC is an annually held exhibition for the mobile industry which brings together the latest innovations and cutting-edge technology from leading companies across the globe.

Ooredoo Maldives participated in the MWC in 2018 as well and showcased Ooredoo Next platform and Magey Plan.
