Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) decided on Monday to pardon the fines related to the taxes of small businesses in Maldives.
As per MIRA, this is an additional amenity granted to taxpayers in addition to the usual regulations.
MIRA stated that this amenity will be granted starting from Monday till October 27.
The authority revealed that any business generating MVR 10 million annually is considered to be a small business.
MIRA has requested the small businesses that are required to pay fines from Business Profit Tax (BPT), Withholding tax, Goods and Services Tax (GST) and Green Tax to request for the amenity at the authority within the granted period.
MIRA held a similar campaign aimed at small businesses last year as well.
