A "King Air 360" brand aircraft was brought in today specifically for "luxury" flights operated by the Maldives' national airline, Maldivian.
According to Island Aviation, which operates Maldivian, the decision to offer services using the King Air aircraft, which includes 8 seats dedicated to passengers, was made in partnership with "Nila Corals Island."
Island Aviation stated that the aircraft's flights are dedicated to luxury travel and private charters. The company also added that this represents a very important step toward expanding luxury tourism in the Maldives.
Speaking at a special ceremony held at Velana International Airport to introduce King Air to the Maldives, Deputy Managing Director of Island Aviation Ali Saleem stated that this represents the company traveling to a "new height."
He stated that Island Aviation launched a new service today with the King Air 360 and that new expectations will also be held for the company.
According to Saleem, Island Aviation carries out the most critical and most strenuous work in transporting tourists arriving in the Maldives from one place to another.

"In addition to bringing tourists to the Maldives, the national airline is also providing round-the-clock service to transport tourists arriving in the Maldives from all airlines from one location to another, through these dedicated staff—captains, engineers, and staff working across all areas in ground operations," he said.
According to Saleem, what is being requested from all these employees is the introduction of luxury services and services that cannot be provided by seaplanes. He stated that this demand has always been present.
"Therefore, along with the group seen behind, with God's will, the service of this new aircraft being introduced will become a major service for those requesting to seek such connectivity," Saleem said.
