A special PikPost station for large parcels at the ground floor of Maldives Post head office has been opened.

This PikPost was inaugurated by the Chief Executive of the Communications Authority of Maldives (CAM) Ilyas Ahmed.

The Post Office said this was done as part of their efforts to strengthen, develop and expand their operational infrastructure, with the PikPost station being established to modernize and expand their delivery system. 

The Post Office went on to say that with the increase of mail through the post system due to e-commerce and changes to the mail landscape, many people have requested a way larger parcels can be acquired through PikPost's delivery system. The Post Office said this was an important step taken by them as a form of convenience for those who seek that service.

According to the office, this change will majorly convenience those who receive large parcels and improve the service acquisition experience.

The aim to develop the Post Office's operational infrastructure through these efforts is to improve service quality, meant to design and provide their services tailored to the changing needs of customers. Establishing an easy environment for the needs of individuals and businesses as a leading trade facilitator will further expand Maldives Post's role, said the office.
