The winner of the Guest House Champion Island Award will receive MVR500,000 to implement a project benefiting residents and visitors of the island, the Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) has said.

The winner will be announced at the Guest House Awards ceremony, which will be held as part of the MIB Guest House Symposium.

The deadline for applications closed on September 15, with MIB saying the award had received a positive response.

The award winner will be able to submit a proposal for a project that brings additional convenience or enhances the appearance of the island for residents and visitors.

The Guest House Symposium and Awards ceremony will be held on October 15 at Barceló Nasandhura Male'.
