Dhiraagu has launched a range of offers to mark its 38th anniversary, thanking customers for being part of its journey in connecting the Maldives and advancing the country’s digital transformation.
The offers were announced at a press conference held at Dhiraagu’s head office on Thursday, attended by the company’s new Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, Valde Ferradaz. It was Ferradaz’s first press conference since taking up the role.
Speaking at the press conference, Ferradaz said Dhiraagu had played a pivotal role in the Maldives’ development by connecting islands and supporting the country’s digital transformation.
“Today, as we celebrate our 38th anniversary, I am amazed by the extraordinary progress the Maldives has achieved and proud of Dhiraagu’s pivotal role in powering that progress,” he said on Thursday.
Ferradaz thanked Dhiraagu’s customers, partners, shareholders, regulators and the government for their continued trust and support, while also praising the company’s current and former employees for their contribution.
He said Dhiraagu remained committed to investing in connectivity, digital innovation and emerging technologies.
The anniversary offers launched today include:
- Free 38GB: Prepaid and postpaid customers can claim 38GB of complimentary data through the DhiraaguApp.
- Free 38 international minutes: Prepaid customers can claim 38 complimentary international calling minutes through the DhiraaguApp. The offer is valid for calls to Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Pakistan, the Philippines and Indonesia.
- AiV: Dhiraagu has launched AiV, an AI call-handling assistant that manages incoming calls on behalf of customers. Customers can subscribe through the DhiraaguApp.
- Free ONT upgrade: Eligible residential FBB customers can receive a free replacement of legacy fibre routers, subject to a 24-month commitment.
- 38 days of partner vouchers: Prepaid and postpaid customers can access daily vouchers from 12 selected EliteClub partners across dining, retail, groceries and accommodation. Each partner will release 38 vouchers daily on a first-come, first-served basis. Active prepaid and postpaid customers can claim one voucher per partner during the campaign through the 38th Anniversary Rewards Portal on the DhiraaguApp.
