Dhiraagu has partnered with the SEAD Initiative to increase awareness regarding ocean wildlife among the youth and to encourage "ocean literacy".

The Science, Explore, Act and Discover (SEAD) Initiative is a non-government organization (NGO) that works to provide practical experience and education in the environment industry.

The organization prioritizes citizen science and marine data collection, field expeditions, ecosystem restoration and hands-on water-based activities.

Along with Dhiraagu providing connectivity support to SEAD Initiative's Urban Hub in Hulhumale', they will work to increase environmental awareness and bring attention to the importance of ocean literacy. 

The Eco Guardian program under SEAD Initiative will include special sessions and hands-on, water-based experiences Hulhumale', K. Kaashidhoo and B. Goidhoo. 

The activities will recruit help from industry experts and marine biologists, with information being provided on marine ecosystems, seagrass and wetlands, freshwater ecosystems, sustainable practices and ecosystem restoration.

Dhiraagu said the youth will be able to learn about the marine environment and opportunities for practical experiences in the marine environment will be facilitated, along with a deeper connection to the oceans being built.

Dhiraagu said they place a high priority on protecting the environment and protecting marine ecosystems by encouraging and increasing awareness within society.
