Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) has extended the application window for the MIB Guesthouse Awards 2026. 

MIB said that the decision was made in response to several requests asking for an extension. Previously the deadline was set for August 31, but the bank has now extended the window till September 14. 

MIB Guesthouse Awards aims to promote local tourism and recognize island-level service providers and guesthouses working in the industry. 

The event will see 20 awards presented in three categories. This includes 16 awards given out to guesthouses in two separate tiers, three individual awards presented to tourism industry professionals, and the Guesthouse Tourism Champion Island award. 

The MIB Guesthouse Awards are endorsed by the Guesthouse Association. The evaluation process of the awards is undertaken by Crowe Maldives.
