Ahmed Ali, who previously held senior positions at the tax authority, MIRA, has been appointed as a member of the Pension Board.

Ahmed, who studied accounting and law, also previously worked on the board of the government-established Maldives Development Bank.

At the time of Ahmed's appointment to the Pension Board, there are currently seven members on the board along with the chairperson. They are two members representing the public sector and four members from the private sector.

The Pension Board consists of 8 members. In addition to the chairperson, these are a CMDA member, a Finance Ministry member, a member from NSPA representing the government in the social security sector, and four private sector members.

Yazmeed Mohamed, who previously served as the Vice President of the Judicial Service Commission (JSC), was appointed to the position of CEO of the Pension Office last week.
