The Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) has received the WOMANi Leadership Award for Career Advancement 2026 by Cambridge IFA in recognition of their efforts in offering leadership opportunities to women.

The award recognizes MIB's efforts as a leading example in facilitating career advancement for women and establishing an environment where women can take on leadership roles in various fields and see success.

Along with this accomplishment, five women from MIB in leadership roles have been included in the "WOMANi Report 2026", which highlights notable leaders in the Islamic financial industry. They are being included in the report due to their valuable contributions to the financial industry, their proactive efforts and achievements.

MIB stated that this achievement is the result of the hard work and important roles being played by their skilled female staff in the bank's growth. The bank also said they will always continue to build professionals, provide leadership opportunities without gender discrimination and empower women.
