Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) has established a branch at B. Eydhafushi, and has officially begun offering 24-hour ATM services at three of the islands in the atoll.
MIB said that the new branch that has been inaugurated at Eydhafushi is an upgrade to the existing MIB Sales Center on the island, with complete banking services being offered to individuals and businesses, account opening services, financing solutions and other basic banking services being available under one roof.
Along with the branch, the ATM that has been established will allow for MVR and USD withdrawals and deposits, with it being available at any time for MIB customers.
MIB went on to say that the purpose of opening a branch at Eydhafushi is to provide modern, convenient and sharia-compliant banking services closely to citizens. With the branch, the bank said that making use of financial services will be a major convenience for residents of Eydhafushi and islands close by.
MIB has newly established ATM services at B. Kendhoo, B. Goidhoo and B. Thulhaadhoo.
Island council members, MIB Deputy CEO Ahmed Riza, Head of Distribution Ibrahim Shuhail and Chief Experience Officer Neerain Jaleel took part in the ceremonies.
MIB stated that residents of Baa Atoll will now have access to basic financial services for 24 hours with the new ATMs that have been put to use. They also said that the services of depositing and withdrawing MVR will be available at all times.
MIB also stated that the purpose of expanding Baa Atoll's ATM network is to strengthen the bank's services across Maldives and to provide financial banking services conveniently to customers.
