Race kit collection for the Dhiraagu Male' Open 2026 open-water swimming competition begins today at Dhiraagu Head Office.

Registered participants can collect their race kits at the DMO Expo from August 18 to 20:

Each kit includes the official tournament T-shirt and swim cap.

The Dhiraagu Male' Open Swimming Competition 2026 will be held on August 21 and 22 at Rasfannu.

Organized by Swim Maldives, the competition aims to promote open-water swimming, encourage greater participation in the sport and raise awareness of the importance of protecting the Maldives' marine environment.

Swimmers will compete in 1km, 500m and 250m open-water races. A new 500m team relay has also been introduced this year, giving friends, families and swimming clubs an opportunity to compete as teams.

Dhiraagu said it remains committed to supporting initiatives that promote healthy lifestyles, strengthen community engagement and provide opportunities for people across the Maldives to participate in sports and recreational activities.
