The official pre-conference workshop for the SAARC Association of Anesthesiologists (SAARC-AA) 2026 conference was held at Tree Top Hospital on August 14.

The workshop, titled “Advanced Interventions in Chronic Pain Management”, brought together international experts and regional healthcare professionals to share practical experience and knowledge, Tree Top Hospital said.

The hospital said participants discussed advanced techniques for treating chronic pain, treatment approaches that prioritize individual patient needs, and new technologies being introduced in the field.

The workshop also provided participants with an opportunity to engage directly with international experts and exchange knowledge and expertise, contributing to the development of clinical services in the South Asian region, the hospital said.

Tree Top Hospital CEO Dr Srivatsan Sridhar G said hosting the workshop was an honor and provided a valuable opportunity to share expertise at an international level.

“This is an important start to the SAARC-AA 2026 conference, which will be held in Ukulhas, Alif Alif Atoll, and is the first conference of its kind to be held in the Maldives,” Sridhar said.

Tree Top Hospital said it aims to reduce the number of Maldivians travelling abroad for medical treatment and lower healthcare costs by providing specialized services locally. The hospital provides a range of healthcare services supported by modern medical technology and experienced doctors.
