Maldivian Red Crescent has opened the opportunity to participate in "The Crescent Tower" project, a 14-storey commercial building being developed in Hulhumalé.
The building is scheduled to be constructed on plot land owned by the Maldivian Red Crescent located on Mirihi Magu in Hulhumalé Phase 1.
First National Finance Corporation will serve as the financial advisor and project manager for the project.
While the building features a total floor area of 70,000 square feet, plans are in place to establish the headquarters and a community hall for the Maldivian Red Crescent, alongside various other amenities in the building.
These will include a café, business lounge, gym, kids' club, and office space.
President of the Maldivian Red Crescent, Ali Nashid, stated that the building will become a lasting legacy facilitating uninterrupted work for humanity.
"The value of this building should not be measured by its height. The true benefit of this project is building a lasting legacy that paves the way to work for humanity without interruption. As a result, ensuring that the services of the Maldivian Red Crescent continue for generations to come," he said.
CEO of First National, Hassan Ziyath, stated that the role of finance should extend beyond the balance sheet, adding that both the government and private entities have the opportunity to participate in this project.

"As a result of this, it will pave the way to conduct social affairs sustainably in the future," he said.
The opportunity to partner has been opened to interested parties through any of the following avenues: participating as a donor, leasing individual floors, financing, or sponsoring specific components of the project.
First National stated that among the options to participate in the project, any party can join with a donation of MVR 1,000.
While there is an opportunity to contribute a donation of MVR 500,000 as corporate sponsorship, donors will be recognized with their names included on a recognition wall.
As partnership for The Crescent Tower was officially opened today, Maldives Islamic Bank has already joined as the very first partner.
