To allow as many swimmers as possible to participate in the "Dhiraagu Male' Open" swimming competition, which is the largest open water swimming competition held in the Maldives, the opportunity to register has been extended.

Dhiraagu stated that the opportunity to register will remain open until the 9th of this month. The opportunity to register for the tournament opened on the 20th of July.

The competition is scheduled to be held on the 21st and 22nd of August at Rasfannu.

Organized by Swim Maldives, the purpose of the exciting "Dhiraagu Male' Open" swimming competition is to promote open water swimming in the Maldives, generate interest in this sport, and increase awareness about protecting the oceans of the Maldives.

Participants can register for the 1-kilometer, 500-meter, 250-meter, and the newly introduced 500-meter team relay category for this year at the Dhiraagu Male' Open.

Registration must be completed through the dedicated website.

In the tournament held last year, 350 swimmers from across the Maldives participated. Among them were swimmers ranging from six years of age to over 70 years old.

Dhiraagu and Swim Maldives first held this tournament in 2019. On that occasion, 200 people participated in the competition.
