Dr Almaas Adnan Ismail, the first Maldivian to train as a glaucoma subspecialist, has now begun offering consultations at EyeCare Hospital. 

Dr Almaas joined EyeCare as a consultant ophthalmologist. She completed a fellowship in glaucoma at the Vision Eye Hospital in Dhaka, Bangladesh and has completed specialized training in minimally invasive glaucoma surgery and phacoemulsification. 

She has also completed both the standard and advanced tiers of the International Council of Ophthalmology exams. 

Dr Almaas will be seeing patients at the EyeCare Hospital Hulhumale' Annex.
