The Economic Ministry has introduced a special application to make it possible to identify the best prices of goods in the market.

Through the application created under the name "Agu Magu", the latest prices available in the market can be easily checked. Additionally, the prices at which goods are available from various shops can also be easily viewed.

Previously, the Economic Ministry had arranged a way to check the prices across many retail shops to coincide with every Ramadan. At that time, this was done through a dedicated website.

The "Agu Magu" application can also be downloaded via the Google Play Store and App Store.

From this application, which allows users to view the best prices, the average prices in shops and the changes that have occurred to prices over the past 10 days can also be identified.

As the Maldives is a country heavily reliant on imports, the prices of goods undergo significant changes from time to time due to various reasons. To control prices, the government has started importing vegetables, fruits, and some other basic commodities into the Maldives through STO.
