Eyecare has partnered with German optical technology company ZEISS to become the Maldives' ZEISS Vision Expert, expanding access to advanced vision care and lens technology in the country.
The partnership was announced at a ceremony on Thursday, where Health Minister Geela Ali officially launched the ZEISS VISUFIT 1000, a digital dispensing system designed to provide highly personalized eyewear fittings.
Using 3D facial scanning technology, the system captures precise measurements to help determine the most suitable frame fit and lens positioning for each customer, improving comfort and visual performance.
As part of the partnership, Eyecare will also offer ZEISS ophthalmic lenses designed to reduce eye strain associated with prolonged digital device use and other modern visual demands.
Eyecare Managing Director Dr Abdulla Zahir described the collaboration as a significant milestone in the company's efforts to introduce internationally recognized eye care technology to the Maldives.
He said the partnership would enable customers to benefit from ZEISS' latest innovations and receive more personalized vision care services.
Speaking at the launch, Rohan Paul, Head of Vision Care at ZEISS India, said the company was pleased to partner with Eyecare, noting its strong reputation within the Maldivian healthcare sector.
He said the collaboration would help raise the standard of eye care services available in the Maldives.
Eyecare said the partnership aims to improve access to advanced eye care technology while promoting better eye health through internationally recognized vision care solutions.
